STARTERS

CHICKEN LIVER PARFAIT - £7.25 (G.F.)

Served with caramelized onion chutney and oatcakes.

 

FLAKED PEPPER SMOKED MACKERAL - £7.25 (Gluten free) With julienne beetroot, salad leaves and horseradish crème fraiche.

 

CULLEN SKINK - £7.50 Homemade traditional Scottish soup with smoked haddock, diced potatoes, leeks and cream, served with brown bloomer bread. (Gluten free bread available)

 

GOATS CHEESE & CARAMELISED RED ONION TART -£6.95 Caramelised red onion and grilled goats cheese in a short pastry case with mixed leaves and a balsamic glaze. 

 

THAI FISHCAKE -£7.25 Salmon and Cod with coconut and lemongrass, salad leaves and a sweet chilli sauce.

 

HAGGIS PAKORAS - £6.75 Served with salad leaves and tikka mayonnaise.

SEAFOOD DUO - Half battered haddock and half breaded whole tail scampi.  £14.75 (G.f.)

 

BREADED WHOLE TAIL SCAMPI   Whole tail Scottish scampi coated in breadcrumbs.  £13.95 G.F.

 

All above served with a choice of garden peas or mixed salad, lemon, homemade tartare sauce and chunky chips.

 

MAINS 

CHORIZO, PORK AND CHICK PEA CASSEROLE – with onions, carrots, chillis and tomatoes, served with crusty bread.  £16.95

 

BEEF LASAGNE - £14.25 layers of minced Scottish beef in a red wine ragu, layers of sheet pasta and a creamy cheese sauce topped with mozzarella and cheddar cheese.

 

STEAK AND ALE PIE - £14.50

Homemade steak pie cooked in a cask ale gravy, topped with flaky pastry and served with today’s veg and chunky chips.

 

SMOKED ARBROATH HADDOCK - Filled with spinach and prawns and set in a chive and capsicum cream sauce on mash. £16.95 G.F.

 

SHIP INN FISH PIE - Salmon, tiger king prawns & smoked haddock with peas in a white wine sauce topped with mash & melted cheddar cheese, served with peas and carrots. £16.25

Chicken breast, wrapped in bacon, pan fried and served on a bed of haggis with a wholegrain mustard cream sauce.

 

SALMON FILLET - £17.25

Pan fried and topped with a crab meat, dried cranberry, parsley, coconut shavings, sliced almond and panko breadcrumb crust, served with watercress and caper mayo with salad leaves and chunky chips.

TEMPURA SEABASS - a seabass fillet coated in a light korma batter and deep fried, served with chunky chips, mixed salad and mango chutney. £14.95

SCOTTISH LAMB SHANK - £21.50 Slow roasted in a redcurrant, rosemary red wine and garlic sauce and served with creamy mash and today’s veg. G.F.

 

6oz BEEF BURGER - with cheddar cheese, bacon, chunky fries and BBQ sauce.  £13.65.
